The following
educational quiz is a part of the continuing program
of the Masonic Education Committee of the Grand Lodge
to provide a monthly educational program for lodge use.
The leader simply reads the questions and lets various
members provide answers until all the points are covered.
1. MAY A LODGE HOLD ELECTIONS OTHER THAN IN DECEMBER?
Yes! The By-Laws may specify either November or December.

2. WHAT IS THE LATEST DATE A LODGE CAN INSTALL ITS
OFFICERS WITHOUT A SPECIAL DISPENSATION?

3. MAY ONE HOLD OFFICE IN TWO OR THREE LODGES AT THE
SAME TIME?
A member may simultaneously hold office in any Lodge
of which he is a member, provided that he shall not
simultaneously serve as Worshipful Master, Senior Warden,
Junior Warden, Treasurer or Secretary in more than one
Lodge, nor hold more than one office in the same Lodge.

4. MAY THE W.M. REMOVE (fire) THE ELECTED SECRETARY
OR TREASURER?
Yes. He may remove any officer except the Sr. &
Jr. Warden. Only the G.M.may remove a Master or Warden.

5. IF A MEMBER OF THIS LODGE WAS MURDERED, COULD THE
LODGE PUT UP A REWARD FOR THE MURDERER?

6. MAY A MEETING CALLED FOR THE EXAMINATION OF AN E

No. The candidate's proficiency must be approved in
a lodge of M Ms and it is not permissible to proceed

7. THERE ARE 2 SPECIFIC TIMES WHEN A LODGE MAY NOT
MEET. WHAT ARE THEY?
(A) When Gr. Lodge is in session.
(B) Sunday between 10:00 A.M. and Noon. HBML P 92
8. MAY A STATED MEETING BE OPENED WITH 7 PAST MASTERS
PRESENT?
Only if one of them is currently the WM, SW or JW.

9. MAY A LODGE EVER BE OPENED WITH LESS THAN 7 MEMBERS
PRESENT?
Yes, but no business may be transacted until there

10. WHEN IS A DISPENSATION REQUIRED FOR AN ELECTION?
Any time other than that specified in the By-Laws.
(A) To replace an elected officer during the year
(B) If an election was not held on the date specified
