The Masonic Library/Museum Society has been established to recognize those who have made donations to The Masonic Library/Museum Foundation of Louisiana, Inc., which is recognized by the I.R.S. as a 501 (c) (3) charity.
The Masonic Library/Museum Society is now conducting a “Charter Membership” drive. “Charter Members” will be recognized by having their name placed on a plaque at the Masonic Library/Museum in Alexandria, La., and will receive a special pin and certificate. The “Charter Membership” drive will be held through December 31, 2011. A Grand Opening of the Masonic Library/Museum will be held in January 2012. A “Charter Membership” can be held by an individual, or a Lodge, who makes a tax-deductable charitable contribution of $1,000 or more to the Masonic Library/Museum Foundation, Inc. These funds will be held in a separate endowed account with only interest and capital gains distributed for the operation of the Masonic Library/Museum. What a wonderful legacy! You will be assisting with the preservation of the history and artifacts of the Grand Lodge of Louisiana, F&AM, and the development of a research facility linked to Grand Lodges around the world.
After the initial “Charter Membership” drive is completed, regular membership in The Masonic Library/Museum Society will be recognized with a minimum donation of $100. Cumulative donations will be recognized with distinctions of $10,000, $50,000, $100,000, $500,000 and $1,000,000. These donations may be designated as “Restricted” or “Non-Restricted” funds by the donor. The sole purpose of The Masonic Library/Museum Society is to conduct fund raisers, recognize donors, and thank contributors. Donations, of any amount, at any time, may be made to the Masonic Library/Museum Foundation, Inc. and are encouraged and greatly appreciated. Donations may be made “In Memory Of” and those honored, or the family of the deceased will be notified of the donation.
Your tax-deductable check should be made to the Masonic Library/Museum Foundation of Louisiana, Inc. (please note in the memo “Charter Membership”) and mailed to the Grand Lodge of Louisiana, F&AM, 5746 Masonic Drive, Alexandria, La. 71301-2632.
